With a burgeoning population of over 1.4 billion citizens, President Modhi believes AI should be used as a tool for common good, both globally and locally.
Education is a core pillar of this strategy, and India plans to implement an AI curriculum across all schools starting from Grade 3, beginning with the 2026–27 academic year.
Although 74% of Indians believe it will improve student outcomes, AI in the classroom shouldn’t just be about using the technology as a classroom assistant but ensuring students are adept at using and building with AI.
This week, a newly announced partnership between Delhi Public School (DPS) and IvySchool.ai highlights a major step forward for India’s AI revolution that could serve as a blueprint for other educational institutions in the future.
An intensive AI coding bootcamp
The new partnership will offer DPS students with the chance to attend a ten-day intensive AI and coding bootcamp led by US-based education technology platform, IvySchool.ai. The bootcamp is designed to move away from theoretical teaching to immerse students in hands-on learning to equip them with the skills and confidence to use AI in the real world.
During the ten-day course, students hone their practical technology skills by building and creating their own prototypes, including AI chatbots, automation tools, and beginner software applications, gaining valuable exposure to real-world problem-solving beyond classroom theory.
In addition to this practical experience, students gained a fundamental understanding of the core foundations of the technology, including Python programming, computational thinking, AI fundamentals, and basic machine learning concepts.

For DPS, working with Ivyschool.ai to offer advanced AI training opportunities helps to ensure their student body graduates with the skills they need to thrive in the future. However, the demand isn’t just coming from the faculty, but the young cohort too.
“Students are already recognizing that ingenuity and getting hands-on with AI and technology are what set future leaders apart from everyone else,” said Anitapant Sharma, Head of Growth Strategy at DPS.
“They’re eager for learning opportunities such as this bootcamp to gain that much-needed exposure early on, and that’s clear in the strong participation and engagement we’ve seen,” added the educational leader.
Preparing students for the future of work
Students around the world today are set to graduate into a workplace that has been transformed by the adoption of AI. In turn, this is redefining the skills that employers value most.
Bob Chopra, founder and CEO of IvySchool.ai believes that educational institutions need to respond to these drastic changes to help students thrive in the AI-powered world of tomorrow.
Rather than being digitally adept in tools like AI, the focus is shifting to demonstrating talent in leadership, creativity, and critical thinking in applying technology to solve real-world challenges.
“Students today need to move from passive learning to building real solutions,” said Bob Chopra, founder and CEO of IvySchool.ai. “Early exposure to AI and coding helps develop creativity, confidence, and critical thinking that will shape their future careers.”
IvySchool.ai engages students with university-level concepts at an early stage as part of its mission to broaden accessibility to AI and computer science and inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
Its curriculum is aligned with global academic standards and certifications inspired by renowned institutions such as Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, and the Wharton School.
The organization also collaborates as a course delivery partner with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati for skill development initiatives.
With demand for digital skills accelerating, similar programs are expected to become more prevalent across schools in the region.
A new chapter for AI education
The partnership with Delhi Public School marks a milestone for IvySchool.ai’s wider mission to provide students with early access to industry-relevant learning and is set to enhance the teaching outcomes at the school significantly.
