The Missouri Cures Education Foundation along with other organizations will hold a free all-day conference that offers the scientific and entrepreneurial community a unique opportunity to learn, share and network.  The day will inspire and enable women to foster connections and conversations among researchers, students, entrepreneurs, members of industry and university faculty.

The all-day event will take place on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center at 975 N. Warson Road in St. Louis.  There will be four panel sessions throughout the day and a luncheon with keynote speaker, Maxine Clark, Founder, Build-A-Bear Workshop and Founding Member, Prosper Angel Network.

Attendees of the event will hear from entrepreneurs, researchers and corporate leaders as they discuss topics ranging from building a science-based startup to climbing the corporate ladder. The panelists will share their own experiences as women in science and entrepreneurship, including the challenges they faced and the opportunities available that helped them succeed. The full agenda and registration is available on the Missouri Cures website.

The organizing committee includes BioSTL, Washington University of St. Louis, Saint Louis University John Cook School of Business, University of Missouri, MOBIO and UMSL Center for Nanoscience.  Some of the sponsors include Polsinelli, Mallinckrodt, Women Entrepreneurs of St. Louis, Lathrop & Gage and the St. Louis Regional Chamber.
