GeneXus, software development company and Techli sponsor, will be holding its 7th annual GeneXus USA event at the Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy in downtown Chicago on June 6th.

The event will showcase GeneXus’ valuable services for application developers including Extreme Project Management (XPM), automation testing with GXtest, user experience design services, and a focus on Smart Device Application Generator for Android, iOS, and Blackberry smartphones.

Howard A. Tullman, president and CEO of Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, will speak at the event, along with Juan Nicolas Jodal and Gastón Milano of Artech, GeneXus’ worldwide headquarters.

Tullman has founded more than a dozen tech companies over the past 30 years, and is currently a general managing partner for the Chicago High Tech Investors and a director  of the Cobalt Group, a Seattle-based digital marketing company. The entrepreneur will be giving a talk focusing on the benefits of word of mouth business.

In alignment with the show’s emphasis on growing smartphone development technologies, Marc Cain, of Chicago-based design firm BolderImage, will speak about the do’s and don’t’s of the iOS user experience. BolderImage has created innovative web designs for Fortune 500 companies including Intel, GM, and Hewlett Packard.

The event is targeted at updating current GeneXus users and welcoming the uninitiated who are looking to learn more about the kind of mission critical services offered by the company. Additional activities include a cocktail reception following the all-day event, as well as a free smart device lab held the next day at the IBM Innovation Center.

Though the event is completely free and open to the public, GeneXus encourages attendees to RSVP beforehand through its EventBrite page. Those who RSVP ahead of time will gain access to supplementary events, including the smart device lab.
