Latest Humble Indie Bundle Raises $1.4M, Adds Four Games With A Week Left To Go

By September 26, 2012

Indie developers have come together once again to offer yet another fantastic package of games in the sixth iteration of the popular and ludicrously cheap Humble Indie Bundle. The bundle, which kicked off on the 18th of this month,  has raised more than $1.4 million with nearly a week still left to go.

Though the games being offered this time around may not be as mind-blowing as the last bundle, there are still some great titles to be had. Just today the developers sweetened the deal by adding four new games into the mix, nearly doubling the total to ten titles. Among the latest offering is the original Torchlight, whose dungeon-crawling sequel just came out this past week, puzzle platformer Vessel, and brick-breaker overhaul Shatter. Each of the games is available for download on PC, Mac, and Linux platforms, with Steam keys available to those who want copies on Valve’s distribution service.

Similar to past Humble Bundles, customers can pay however much they like for the package of indie titles. Purchasers are also given the option of distributing whatever amount they’ve decided to pay between the indie developers and charities including the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child’s Play Charity.

Gamers who want to snag the additional five titles, which include acrobatic cleaning platformer Dustforce and BIT.TRIP RUNNER, will have to beat the current average of just under $6. Whether due to some affliction or genuine generosity the developers have even decided to throw in each game’s soundtrack to round out the already incredible package. Even at the average price, gamers will be getting the whole package at $129 less than the retail value.

Gamers wanting to get their hands on the package can still purchase the Humble Bundle until October 2nd. Check out out the Humble Bundle website to find out about all the games included in the pay-what-you-want package, and be sure to at least beat that average (seriously, don’t be stingy).
