St. Louis startups have been getting a lot of attention this year, not only in the Midwest, but around the country. Two startups that have burst onto the scene are Lockerdome and Rollsale. On November 7th at 7pm, the StartLouis meetup at T-REx will host the CEOs of these two companies to talk about what it is like to take the next big step after gaining traction and investment from the venture capital community.

Gabe Lozano of Lockerdome and Mike Nichols of Rollsale will be on hand to talk about their personal success stories, including Lozano’s experience growing up in an entrepreneurial family, and Nichols’ experience spending the summer in the Boulder, CO startup scene after being accepted into the Techstars Boulder accelerator this year.

The StartLouis meetup is a grassroots community of startup enthusiasts that was founded in late autumn of last year. Since then, the group has grown to include over 230 members and four sponsors: Lockerdome, T-REx, Schlafly, and Food Essentials.

Past events include talks by the CEO of Contegix Matthew Porter, the CEO of Answers David Karandish, and Kyle Welborn from Cultivation Capital who presented “How to Pitch Your Startup”. Each month, the free event features a presentation followed by a question and answer session with St. Louis startup CEO, followed by a short talk from a StartLouis member.

StartLouis is organized by Israel Vicars, Lance Kidwell, and Dylan Hassinger. For more information about the event or to join the StartLouis community, check out the group’s Meetup page.
